Kings Mountain Historical Museum invites the community to explore their family history during an informative genealogy workshop, "Finding Family Records: Birth, Marriage, and Death Records," on Saturday, August 8, at 10:30 a.m.
Hosted by Ann Gometz, the workshop will be held at the museum and is designed for anyone interested in discovering more about their ancestors through vital records. Birth, marriage, and death records are among the most valuable resources available to family historians. During this workshop, participants will learn where to locate these essential records, how to interpret the information they contain, and how to use them to build a more complete and accurate family tree. Whether you're just beginning your genealogy journey or looking to strengthen your research skills, this session will provide practical guidance and helpful resources.
Admission is FREE, and all experience levels are welcome. Please pre-register via the eventbrite link.
