The North Carolina Digital Heritage Center is a statewide digitization and digital publishing program housed in the North Carolina Collection at UNC's Wilson Special Collections Library. The Digital Heritage Center works with cultural heritage institutions across North Carolina to digitize and publish historic materials online. Both Kings Mountain Historical Museum and Mauney Memorial Library have many primary resources from Kings Mountain's past available here.
This website is a joint project with Mauney Memorial Library to share the pieces of Kings Mountain history that are in our care. Included are resources for use in the classroom and digitally curated exhibits. It is still a work in progress, so continue to go back and see more!
Partnering with Organizations, Schools, and Parents
KMHM is building its educational program! We are increasing our offer to specific lesson plans for different grade levels visiting the museum and in the classroom. All of our programs will be designed to fit within North Carolina curriculum standards.
