Into the Collections: V-E Day Newspaper Article (1945)

In Episode 28 of our series "Into the Collections" we look at a newspaper article commemorating the end of World War Two in Europe. On May 8, 1945 people across the United States, Great Britain, and formerly occupied areas celebrated Victory in Europe Day. The day when all German resistance ended and the war in Europe was finally over. The National Archives has published a World War Two Honor List of Dead and Missing Military Members who were from North Carolina.
