In Episode 20 of our series "Into the Collections" we examine a medal from the Spanish-American War. Today in history April 24, 1898 Spain declares war on the United States. The following day the United States responds with our own declaration. The war last from May 1898 to the signing of the Protocol of Peace in December of the same year.
